By using Jib, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Jib provides a browser extension that analyzes YouTube video transcripts to detect potentially harmful content, currently limited to misogyny and incel rhetoric. The service uses AI models to perform this analysis and provides real-time warnings to the viewer. Jib is designed for parents and guardians who want to monitor the YouTube viewing activity of their children.
Jib is currently available to test for free. During this time, access is provided at no charge by invitation. Paid subscriptions may be introduced in the future and you will be notified before any charges apply.
One account holder (the “admin”) is responsible for the subscription and may add up to 5 family members. The admin is responsible for all activity under their account.
When paid subscriptions are available, they will be billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we suspect of fraudulent activity or abuse of the service.
Our AI detection is not perfect. We make no guarantee that all harmful content will be detected or that the service will flag content accurately in all cases. The service is intended as a tool to assist, not replace, parental oversight.
You agree not to:
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
